A brief history of Lemonade...
I founded Lemonade in 2001. I gave myself brain damage over picking a name and nothing else really jumped out at me... I wanted something that people would remember but not too hardcore-sounding as I wanted the music to be a variety of funky vibes so that the funky people would follow!
Lemonade pushed a funky vibe for a many years, producing around 20 successful events which drew great people and music. Still to this day we have rotational resident djs that were playing at the very birth of Lemonade @ Stockley Golf Club. There were other local venues which helped push the Lemonade brand even further.
In 2007 Lemonade recruited another member of staff to help with promoting & DJing and preparing for events, this was Miss Anna Kiss.
Soon our name was heard about and we were asked in to host the Lounge at the Ministry Of Sound. We wanted to take our sound more underground to reflect our DJing passion, so we created a new vibe and brand that falls under the growing Lemonade umbrella - "Stikky Pit".
We set the vibe with Electro and Tech House which went down a storm, ramming our room and our headliner Ed Kane did our launch very proud. Will Bailey headlining the main room and working alongside "Connected" made the night monumentally electric.
Lemonade were also asked to take a room to run alongside The Gallery at Ministry Of Sound in August 2008. With headliners like Tall Paul the night was sure to be a good one, and it surely was.. It was another blinding night with people jumping around to our talented DJs playing the finest in upfront Electro & Tech.
Summer 2007 saw Lemonade take on a monthly residency at Zanzi Bar, Uxbridge. Time ago it was THE place to go locally when it was known as The Villa, and when it first opened as Zanzi Bar at Xmas 1999 both of us had the pleasure of DJing there, so it was like going home!
Over a year in and there has been a serious transformation to this small venue and our parties there are going from strength to strength - sometimes with 200-320 people through the door - a sure sign that Lemonade is the event to be at!!!
Due to our success, we were asked to do Zanzi Bar twice monthly from Summer 2008, so now we offer you Funky House & Electro every 2nd Saturday of the month, and Old Skool Club Classics every final Saturday of the month. With the odd themed party just for fun (such as 'hats & sunglasses', a 'purple party' and a masked ball), because our Lemonaders just love it! That coupled with our amazing DJs on rotation, you'd be mad not to party with us!
